Help for AutoAlignCplane does not include the Sticky option. This is an important option for anyone who wants to permanetly disable AutoAlignCplane. The option needs to be documented in Help for AutoAlignCplane.
Hi @davidcockey
When I look at that attached help does it not look like the auto cplane is properly aligning with those selected faces. Notice the Y axis, what the heck is that aligning to? It looks off to me shouldn’t it align with those center isocurves? It looks off or tilted wrong.
I never trusted the older cplane to selected object command and have always used cplane 3 points because that way you can put the origin exactly where you want it and I noticed that cplane to selected object sometimes rotated incorrectly.
Just wanted to point out that the documentation looks flawed.

Added to the AutoAlignCPlane topic. Thanks for pointing it out. It seems like different from what you think.
Sticky
The CPlane stays on the previously selected planar object/sub-object until another one is selected.
When the sticky mode is enabled (top), the CPlane stays on one of the planar surfaces when the cylinder or nothing is selected.
That could be how it was working at the moment when the video clip was created. I’ll update the the video clip. Thanks.
