Ask before opening linked blocks

There used to be a setting in rhino 7 that when double clicking on a linked block, would ask if you wanted to open it. In rhino 8 it defaults to opening the linked block file without asking for confirmation. Is this setting still there in rhino 8? With the new double click to relocate gumball I am accidentally opening linked blocks a lot more than I used to.

Hi @Emory,

First, close Rhino.

Then using Windows Explorer, navigate to the following folder:

%APPDATA%\McNeel\Rhinoceros\7.0\Plug-ins\BlockEdit (f2231a2f-66bf-4558-94ce-988c15aede65)\settings

Once here, delete the following file:

settings-Scheme__Default.xml

Restart Rhino.

I tried that and it did not wrk work, however, I am using the Block Edit New plugin and that could be the issue.

Hi Emory -

That completely disables the default block editing plug-in, so, yes…
