AMD Denoiser

Hi,
I’m trying out the new Denoiser feature. I downloaded AMD Denoiser v 4.1 via pack manager and it doesn’t work. It gives me Error: “Found no supported devices” I have an AMD 3700X processor. window 10.
Can anyone help me.

What kind of graphics card do you have? The AMD denoiser runs on AMD graphics cards. If you have an NVIDIA graphics card then the NVIDIA denoiser is probably what you’re looking for. If you’re not sure you can use the Intel denoiser which runs on most systems.

I thought the denoiser was for prosery too. I have MSI N780 TF 3gd5/oc ( GTX 780 ).

Hallo.
After creating the NVIDIA denoiser, it shows the following message: Failed to create OptiX device.

Can you post your system information here? Help -> System Information

Use the Intel denoiser. That should work fine.

Hi, thank you for your help. I installed Intel Denoiser and it works. I also read in more detail about OptiX and cycles. Thanks for writing me off

Hi Andrew,
I got an AMD, so I´m trying to install the AMD or Intel Denoiser, but they are not on my list. (just the NVIDIADenoiser)
How could I get them?

Thanks

Hi @renemedel,

They should both be available now. Sorry about that!

-David

Hi David,

Excellent. I downloaded both. Let’s see the magic.

Thank you

Hello again,
Intel Denoiser works fine.
But AMD Denoiser does not improve anything. I have an AMD FirePro D700 (FireGL V)

Hi @renemedel,

Are you saying the AMD denoiser is not doing anything at all? Is there any error visible in the Information text field?

Try checking and unchecking the AMD denoiser many times in a row. Do you see if something happens to the image, or is it untouched?

-David

Hi David,

Yes, nothing. No visible error text.

I tried check/uncheck many times and nothing happened. Untouched.
Also tried during rendering and waiting until all passes were done.

Hi @renemedel,

Can you post your System Information from Rhino’s Help -> System Information...?

Hi @renemedel,

Are you running a Mac Pro in Bootcamp, or is this a Windows computer? My first step would be to try to reinstall the GPU driver and get the latest one available.

-David

Yes, it’s a Mac Pro in Bootcamp.
I’ll try updating the GPU driver.

Thank you
