3dm is not a Rhino m_archive // Rhino not opening file

Hello. I started using rhino 6 for Mac since the start of this year only and for the first time while using the program it crashed and one of the files got deleted. I checked I cloud and the time machine but I couldn’t find the document in under any name. The only link I could find in my documents name is a 3dm.rhl file. I tried to rename it but then got the message “3dm is not a Rhino m_archive”. Does anyone know how to open this RHL file or how to fix it? I am quite inexperienced so i really would appreciate help… Thanks so much

So this be wrong on the details, but from my understanding the .rhl file is just kinda a local cache used while working on the file (think like a shader cache and clipboard storage). It doesn’t contain the file.

However, rhino is designed to have auto saves in case of a crash. Often times, rhino will suggest you recover this autosave file upon reopening rhino. On windows, these files can be located at user/appdata/roaming/mcneel/rhino/6.0/autosave. I don’t know exactly where these are located on the mac version.

I hope that helps you find you file.
