Wish: UVN dragmode and SoftTransform

Hi,

The gumball now aligns to UVN directions and will move all selected points along the control polygon in the Rhino 9 WIP. For SubDs this is currently just the normal. The UVN drags also now work with SoftTransform allowing you to do the type of transformations I think you’re after.

SoftTransform makes it easy to adjust large numbers of control points by applying a falloff influence to the transformation for surrounding points. Rhino 9 Feature: UVN Gumball

Hi all, In the Rhino 9 WIP we’ve made the gumball align to the control polygon when control points are selected in object mode. This alignment matches the directions used by the MoveUVN panel. When the “UVN gumball” is manipulated each selected control point will move along its respective control polygon directions or extensions.
