When new objects are added to a file they become visible in any detail view that has already been created and you have to go through and fix them all. If we could designate an object/objects as the only visible object in that detail, it would prevent new objects from showing up in a detail.
Instead of trying to hide a bunch of stuff I don’t want to see, how about just isolating what I do.
I am aware of the layer control, but it is only helpful if the object added is not on the same layer as the object in the detail. Unless I’m missing something?
I just thought, since in most cases I only have one object per sheet, that if we could isolate that object in the detail views, it would eliminate a lot of manipulating. After thinking about it awhile it seems like this should probably have been the approach all along.
