Please add support for LibreOffice Calc files (.ods) files. Excel is such a terrible piece of software from a usability perspective. I would prefer to use LibreOffice, but right now I would need to export my files to Excel formats with all sorts of compatibility issues as a result.
You are opening a ZIP file. Basically the ODS format is XML files compressed in a ZIP file. First you need to unzip the ODS to be able to manipulate the XML files inside. ODS is an open standard and the specifications can be found here: OASIS Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) Version 1.2 - Part 1: OpenDocument Schema
Hi @wim
I’m not quite sure what you meant to say with that. ![]()
Hoi Intuos -
As far as I know, we don’t have any components that read Excel files?
-wim
Oh yes I see what you mean. I use a plugin for that.
But it would be nice if this open document standard could be supported, since Grasshopper has no real way to make spreadsheets (tables) internally either.
ODS is ZIPped XML files.
I’ve filed this as RH-89484 Grasshopper: Read Spreadsheet ODS Files

Thanks @Wim!
I see you linked it to an Excel wishlist item too. Fingers crossed it will one day be available. ![]()
