Reading Excel file in grasshopper

Hi

For my project, I have to read the excel (.xlsx) file in grasshopper. The problem is that when grasshopper reads the file it opens it as well.
And I have around 15-16 excels that are being read and it slows the laptop down. Is there any way that I can read the files without opening it?

Convert the files to CSV, it works a lot nicer with Grasshopper.
