Wish: Named CPlane attached to object

Hi All.
Is it possible to have Named CPlane, attached to object, which will follow the orientation of it and will remain Named?
Like CPlane, perpendicular to the line will keep it’s perpendicularity during rotation of this line.
And such CPlane will be accesable through Named CPlanes.

there is
_mPlane
command - check help for details.

Hi @Tom_P
Thanks for attention.

I know about mobile CPlanes. Unfortunately, such cplane has no name and couldn’t be easily accessed from Named CPlanes. Or I missed something?

Hi @Screamer

No it can’t but if you name an Mplane it will become a named cplane but it won’t stick to the mobile object. So it kind of defeats having an Mplane.

You can activate an Mplane in two ways when it’s not activated. If that’s why you want the named cplane option.

1.Select the object the mobile plane is attached to, move the object and undo will activate the Mplane.
2. Use this macro > ! _Mplane pause refresh enter < then you don’t have to undo or move the object.

Instead of relying on named cplanes to find or activate an Mplane you use the object it is attached to instead. But it would be nice to be able to name and activate an Mplane through the named cplanes panel where it could be given a name and perhaps be prefixed with Mplane to distinguish it from ordinary cplanes.

What is that naming the Mplanes’ cplane will do that activating via object selection does not? Perhaps something in scripting or animation usage?
