IMO Make2D needs to run a simple simplify on the outputcurves. I just did a test and a file with a complex make2D image went from 2.1MB to 1.7MB which is a 20% reduction in size and complexity.
(It went from 23.000 curvepoints to 15.000 curvepoints.)
