Why is Rhino so bad at dealing with materials?

I noticed Rhino has a really hard time loading material thumbnails. If this is not fixable in 2024 with artificial intelligence and robots making robots and the doom of humanity, can we at least have an option to not display the thumbnail at all? You know how we can click here multiple times and have new 10 layers in 3 seconds? Albeit not in 3 seconds because of some inexplicable lag that still is going on with Layer’s menu UI. [image] But it would be nice/ideal/coherent to be able to do the same with materials. They even have the same icon language. [image]
