Recently bought a wireless 3Dconnexion mouse to help me in Rhino on Mac, however, when I installed the software I needed to actually connect the mouse and get it running, I see that a whole bunch of extra random shit was also downloaded which I am not a huge fan of. I would rather have only the absolutely necessary software downloaded on my computer but I don’t know if there are special functions that certain apps serve that I need to keep. Does anyone know which one of these apps are absolute necessities and which ones are unnecessary?
I suggest to run the main installer exe of the driver and remove the tickboxes of the unnecessary bundled programs. Usually all programs are installed automatically if you click on “Default installation” or on every “Next” button without checking what it actually includes. The installer gives you an option to manually fill the tickboxes for each bundled program.
