Where to place clipping plane for interior view of wheel hub?

Hi,
V5
lets colour the two hubs to give them an ‘ID’, add colour to the end parts, green and blue !
I have my clipping plane drawn as a rectangle in the lower right ortho view as thats the location that to me anyway seems correct to place a slice across the view, as I want to see the INTERIOR of the ‘green’ hub..

That is confirmed in perspective view, its showing the ‘green hub’ and I want to see the rear face and interior of that green hub.

Right view shows me the blue hub. but the green hub markers are visible beyond, so its not slicing it seems.
So I select LEFT view , it then shows me the BLUE hub ! aaaaaagh !

It seesm obsessed with the outer ends each time.

So what have I done wrong, where (viewport and placement of clicks, should I have drawn the rectangle it asks to do.

Steve

Make sure your clipping plane is clipping the right view. By default, if you create it in perspective view, it won’t clip any other views unless you manually select them.

Hi,
I had drawn it out in RIGHT/LEFT ortho view pane.

seemed the correct place for it, but as shown its not delivering the view I want.

Hi Steve -

I’m afraid those images tell me exactly nothing.
You need to select the clipping plane and go to its properties to set the view(s) that need to be clipped.
