Hello, I’ve been having this issue for a long time now, but I always thought it was related to the file size or the file getting corrupted for whatever reason, however, reading thru some forum posts, I’ve discovered that the problem is related to Vray itself since the files open no problem if the plugin is turned off but there is seemingly no way to reactivate the plugin once I have accessed the file.
The problem seems to occur the moment a texture is created in the asset editor using a generic material that draws from a bitmap image, the image itself is around 3.1 MB
The only thing that seems to work is to use _Rescue3dmfile to at least get the poly surfaces and any other geometry back, but this is not sustainable with deadlines and with company policies telling us to shut down the computer when we leave instead of leaving rhino open and just setting it to hibernate (there have been some fires in neighboring warehouses and we work with wood so it’s a major security concern)
Is there anything else that could work to fix the issue? would love to try anything a this point.
Just in case this is the _Systeminfo
