Voronoi Grill - rounded, elongated cells with boundary gradient

Hello All -

Does anyone know how to design a voronoi grill pattern (2d linework) with rounded cell corners, elongated cells, and go from larger cells along the centerline to smaller cells around the border? I’m doing a grill design and can’t get all three elements into one. The grill boundary size is 28mm wide by 77mm tall. I have attached an example pic of what I’m looking to do - the example is on a 3D surface but my surface is simply flat. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I saw a parametric house tutorial available on this on Youtube but it’s 100$ - would also love to see such a tutorial here

something like this ?

Hi Michael - This is great! I may tighten the borders for Y axis, bring it in, but this is exactly what I was trying to do. You are brilliant. Thanks for contributing to my cause!

Hi Michael -

Sorry to bother you. I have one more question - do you know how to set a 2mm minimum threshold between cells? I tried to figure this out with your wonderful algorithm but was unable to solve this. Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks again -

here’s a screen shot

You could just offset the cells inwards 1mm

You probably don’t need fillet there, check out the Vornoi components R input.

Of course, you’re right, as usual.
