Volume ignoring blocks


I just found out the hard way that Volume ignores blocks :confused:
Please make sure the user at least is aware of the fact that selected solid geometry is ignored for volume calculations!


Yep, got that, thanks. If the command sees only ineligible objects pre-selected, it should deselect before asking for a new selection.

Problem here is that a whole selection set with mixed object types it’s very very VERY easy to overlook the fact that ( a large) amount of the objects are inside blocks and will not be analyzed. Furthermore after Volume is finished calculating the same set of objects remains selected regardless if they are unused blocks or not.
So it’s up to the user to be aware blocks are discarded.

Please fix this! By now I would have thought blocks would be matured…they are not it seems.
