After updating to Win11, Rhino 7 viewport freezes when switching from shaded to wireframe display.
If you switch to shading again, the screen display will return. It will also accept commands. Wireframe doesn’t work.
I tried it with Rhino 6 in the same environment, but it does not cause such symptoms.
Are there other symptoms like this?
what should i do?
Hi @nisiyama-syoichi
Start by runnning the SystemInfo command in Rhino and post the entire resulting text here - that’ll give an idea of what’s going on. Could very easily be a graphics card driver needing an update or similar.
HTH, Jakob
thank you.
Systeminfo looks like this:

I suspect you have a conflict with one of your plug-ins.
In Rhino Options > Plug-ins, change the list filter at the top to “Plug-ins that do not ship with Rhino”.
Disable all of them, close and restart Rhino.
Then see if the Wireframe problem goes away.
If it does, enable one of the plug-ins, restart, and check again.
If I’ve guess correctly, you’ll find the problem.
Good luck
thank you.

I tried, but the symptoms did not change.
Could it be something else?
It also looks like you may be running a 2nd monitor, but only have enough VRAM for ONE screen.
Another test is to start Windows with no extra monitor connected.
I changed the mode back to default and it worked.
thank you.
The wireframe mode was importing the custom settings in Rhino6, so that’s the cause.
Enable your plug-ins again unless you don’t use them.
Cheers
I was using 2 screens (4k Monitor).
Other members using one screen do not seem to freeze even with the same mode setting.
