Viewport (detail) confusion

#1

In AutoCAD if I rotate a viewport the ‘view’ rotates. In other words, imagine you’re in top view looking down at a 6’ x 2’ table and the default orientation has the long dimension oriented top to bottom on your screen. If you wanted to orient the view of the table so the long view was side to side on your screen you could just rotate the viewport.

I’m trying to do the same thing in Rhino but when I rotate the detail the detail border rotates but the objects in the detail remain where they are, they don’t rotate with the detail.

Any input on this is much appreciated.

Hi Arail - use TiltView for this , with that detail active. You can use the ‘Angle’ option for precision.
