View port manipulation speed with selected [heavy] mesh

I Love the new outline selection. It’s a great improvement. for [heavy] meshes .
and viewport responsiveness seems improved.
But it is is still very heavy and slow… Would there be a way to improve the performance ?

Here comparing Rhino8.3 to Blender 4. same mesh, about 20mil poly [the mesh was exported from Rhino so I assume it would have the same significant digit for precision [and size] in the .obj
And same computer.
