I’m trying to create plan views in VA3 with spaces added, but the labels of the spaces become outlines in the plan view. This is an issue that previously occurred in VA2 with sections, but it never happened with VAspaces. However, with space/tag labels this is much more problematic than with section labels due to the amount of text. When you print the files to scale it makes the text very poorly readable. The same is happening for the VaTag (see image). Can this be fixed soon so it functions like VA2 again? I need to present these drawings to a client and want it to be readable as normal text with a fill. Choosing a top view projection where the text does behave normal is currently also not an option, given the fact that the solid hatch is not functioning as it should, as mentioned in my topic from yesterday.
Another thing that I noticed is that it places the space with an offset from the level. IN this particular model it places the spaces 225mm below the top of the floor, which means I then have to manually move all the spaces up (minor issue, but this also used to function properly in VA2).
With regard to the VaTags I also noticed that it initially places the tag in the center, but if a tag is added to the element it lengthens the tag only on the right side, which causes all the tags to be off center (minor issue, but this also used to function properly in VA2). The tags also don’t disappear when a level is turned off (see image)
Hi @martijn.voz thanks for reporting these issues. I could reproduce the one of tags and spaces generated as 2D curves in plan views, but not the other about wrong elevation of the space labels. Can you share that file so I can revise it?
In the meantime, why don’t you print the real-time model displayed in plan view instead of generating a 2D plan view? if you choose the Hidden display, you can print the model to vector output. Texts would be printed property, and the problem of solid hatches doesn’t happen either.
I will use this workaround for now, but as other people also mentioned in previous posts, the 2D plan views have their benefits. I mainly like it because they are much easier to annotate than the 3D model, especially for things like adding symbols that would otherwise clog the 3D model and are hard to place in 3D space.
I tried to attach the file but it is too big (50mb). What is the preferred way to share it?
Hi Francesc Salla,
i have the same issue as described above - in Planview the text of the annotation gets outlined…
Is there an workaround beside the hiddenview? As Martijn.voz i’m annotating also in the Planviewmode.
It also happens that the 2D Blocks for Planview from furniture aren’t visible - they are in hidden…
