Hi, I want to trim a wall with a staircase, but the Wall:Extend command in either direction (top or bottom) subtracts also intersecting part of the boundary object (stairs). Is this a bug?
Hi @Jakub_Sladecek,
Yes, it is a bug. I’ll report it to find a solution and we will let you know when it is fixed.
In the meantime you can create a surface below the staircase to use it as a extend boundary (instead of using the staircase as boundary).
The same thing is with the extending walls via control arrows in current release - they do not snap to other walls or objects like they do in previous releases and va2.
Ok, thanks for clarifying this…
Hi @rbialozor,
Please, could you send me some more information about this behaviour? I’ll try to reproduce it.
Hi @Jakub_Sladecek I’m glad to inform we have just published the new VA3 Beta 5 version that fixes this issue when extending a wall to a stair.
@rbialozor the new Beta also fixes the issue of control arrows not snapping correctly.
