Control arrows problems

Hello,

wall control arrows are often overlapped by surrounding objects. It makes them barely usable and very annoying in complex situations. I encountered this many times in both VA2 and VA3 beta.

The control arrows of a selected VaWall (or any selected VA object) should always be visible over any model geometry! (An effect similar to the “BringToFront” command?)

Also, control arrows could be customisable - sometimes they seem to be too far away from actual geometry (while zoomed in). This distance from wall end control point could be either customisable, or at least atomatically reflect the zoom level. Currently, the size of the arrow symbol function like that - it is the same size, regardles of “zoom level” and it works pretty well.

One more wish regarding wall extension arrows.
I would suggest adding one extension arrow below the wall (and also curtain wall). Currently, we have arrows on both ends and on the top of the wall. But if I need to lower the bottom edge of the wall, I have to move the entire wall downward and then increase the height with the same number.

I can elaborate more if needed.

Hi @MichalKrizo thanks for your comments and requests|>

That’s how they are meant to be. But we could only implement this feature in the Hidden display, and not in the native Rhino display modes:

(I’ve noticed that in VisualARQ 3 Beta, this is not working properly though. We will fix it in a new Beta).

I agree. Right now the distance of the extension arrows to the edge of the wall is predetermined and it can’t be edited by the user. I add your vote for this request.

That already works! walls and curtain walls have a bottom extension arrow already (in VisualARQ2 and VisualARQ3 Beta):
