V7 Layout/dimension(?) issue

Hi All,

Faced such unpleasant behavior many times.
Eventually made a sample file with the problem.

Could anybody confirm they have the same jumping of the dimension?
P.S. System info included.

ATTENTION:
Desktop is using the slower, less reliable integrated graphics device and probably needs a configuration change.

There is only one monitor detected, but it’s connected to the slower, integrated graphics video port.

  • Recommended: Unplug the monitor and plug it into one of the video ports on this device:

Hi -

Thanks, I can reproduce that here
RH-78926 History: Deactivating detail makes dimensions jump
-wim

Hello, @wim .

Happy New Year!

I saw this issue was named as “fixed” on the latest RCs.
But I still can see some weird things here. Please, see attached animation.
In some cases dimension goes to the “virtual” circle, not to the actual edge.
And it still jumps in that case after switching to/from Detail view.

Animation

@Screamer as you can read in that YT, the remaining behavior is based on how curves are handled in views that are not parallel to the drawing, and cannot be avoided in the way it is currently implemented.

Hi @Gijs ,

Yes, I saw it.
Well, at least it “jumps” only once and then keeps it’s position.
This is way better, than before. :+1:
Thanks.
