Using UnweldEdge on subD objects

Hoping someone else can help me with this. If I unweld a tSpline object into two non joined pieces I can select them individually, they become two objects.

In native subD if I use UnweldEdge they appear to stay as one object on selection despite not being joined. How can I unlink them, turn them into two seperate objects?

What I want to be able to do is un Weld sections, hide them and rejoin them later.

cheers,
Sochin

_Explode does exactly what I wanted. For some reason prior to trying this I assumed that it would explode every subD face but it just makes the unjoined parts individual objects.

Still trying to get my head around using so many Rhino commands not specifically subD on subD objects.

cheers,
Sochin.

_UnweldEdge _Pause _Pause _Pause _Pause _Pause _Pause _Pause _Pause _Pause _Pause _Pause enter _SelLast _Explode _Cancel

Simply use Explode

Command: Explode
Exploded a SubD into 3 SubDs.
