Can someone please help me on this one, I want to join two individual subd together but when I join them they turn into surface and also does not weld together. Is this is something that Rhino 7 does not have that feature or if there is, please guide how to do it.

You will have to delete coincident faces, or in other words faces which would be inside the final subd. Then stitch the two open edge loops. You need matching vertices on both edge loops so you probably have to add a loop (green) on the rectangular looking faces.
