Using RIR to add dimension

Hi all, I have a few linked dwg files(detail drawings) in Revit and I want to add dimensions to this details on the drafting views. The reason why I did it in Revit rather than in AutoCAD is because it is easier to change the scale later on and the dimension in Revit seems is easier to manipulate.
But there is an issue – when I reload the dwg file, all the dimension in Revit will gone…

I wonder if there is a way we can use RIR to add dimension in Revit and somehow “lock” it. So it won’t be disappear. Or is there a way to “record” the dimensions within the drafting view, even though I reload the dwg file all the dimensions gone, I can still add them back by grasshopper.
Many thanks

You may want to look at your particular workflow in this regard. Revit does support this, but there are known issues & workarounds.
