Updating Rhino 8 today

Hi,
I was updating Rhino 8 today to the latest patch and I got this warning.

And this one.

Me too.
What is your Rhino Update Frequency set to?
This is not in the current service release and I don’t think in the SRC.

It is also in the SRC. In the screenshot you’ll see 8.6. And this has been reported here on Discourse several times already.

This is what I have.

I had that too:
rhino install

See Jeremy’s reply above.
We are aware of the problem and fixing it.

I’m aware, just wanted to join in.

The problem has been fixed and is being tested in in-house builds now.

Super! And what it’s worth, with this release, only one layer (default) is created when starting a new session instead of the 5 layers plus the default.

That would be expected if you started Rhino using the “No Template” option.
I’ll guess that you did not click that option?

This bug is there since some time already. I think the layers are there, they are just not displayed. I had reported this, maybe others too.

@hitenter
Are you running 8.5 or the 8.6 SRC?

I’m not able to duplicate what you’re seeing, but it may have been fixed.
I’m running an in-house 8.7 that is undergoing daily changes.

I’m running the latest SRC. Layers disappearing in the layer panel (appart from the current layer) happens occasionlaly, not very often. Haven’t experienced it in the last few days so it may be fixed.

Yes, I did not click that option.

I’m running 8.6.24086.11001. This just happened when I updated Rhino yesterday. Other than that, all was good.

Cool!
