Update service unavailable

i just installed Rhino for the first time and while checking for an updated version I noticed that the Update and Statistics tab shows “The McNeel Update Service is Unavailable” in large blue letters. Any ideas as the cause?

Hi,

I saw David’s solution, but it doesn’t seem to work for me. The repair function is looking for the ‘setupx64.msi’ that I don’t seem to have.

Probably the quickest way out is simply to download the latest and Uninstall/Install and see if that sorts it out.

I did it twice and the second time around it worked!

I have the same issue, and a reinstall didn’t solve it. (although, for the time being, I have the latest version)
