Unable to Run Karamba

Hi there, I’m struggling to install Karamba successfully. I have Rhino 8 evaluation. I downloaded Karamba3D RH8 Core from their website. In my Program Files>Rhino 8>Plugins, I saw the Karamba folder with karambafeb.dll and libiomp5md.dll and the gha file. When I ran Rhino, it did not identify the Karamba plug-in and neither did it load in grasshopper.

I then tried downloading the package manager version, and dragging the grasshopper file onto the canvas. This made the Karamba3D tab show up, with the error below-

When I click okay, I get the popup below to install the missing plug-ins-

It says successfully installed, but when I open my file, the components are still missing-

I’ve uninstalled and re-installed Karamba several times. I don’t have another version of Rhino on my computer. I saw some folders for Rhino 6 & 7 in Program Files but they have no trace of Karamba. I also tried downloading the msi file from Food4Rhino in case it made a difference- same result. Any ideas?

Hi, did you make sure that your Rhino is running Core and not Framework?

If it is correct, try to drag and drop the karamba.gha file into the GH canvas and see if an error message pops up.

best,
Matthew

It doesn’t allow me to drag the gha file, I see the little red circle icon with a line through it. Am I doing something wrong? It’s not blocked either.
I have confirmed I’m running Rhino on Core.

I was able to install Karamba and it shows up in Grasshopper now, but only with some of the components like before. I get the error message above, while loading Grasshopper. Still not sure why I’m not able to drag a gha file onto the canvas.

It seems to be some clash with the .dll libraries that Karamba uses. Are you using Monocerous or Evolute?
