I thought maybe paneling tools but Im not finding a way to do this. Maybe grasshopper but Im not savvy with it enough.
Is this a FlowAlongSrf type problem perhaps?
I suppose I could try that but Im concerned there will be to much distortion. These really need to be placed on a point perpendicular to the surface normal. Im sure there is a GH solution but Im just too thick to figure it out.
Ah okay! I thought FlowAlongSrf had a “rigid” option to prevent warping, but I am not at my PC.
It does but that doesnt get what I need. The standard flow along gets it close enough. I was just overthinking it .

Nice! I think the trial of Rhino Nature would do this with Grid variation as well.
