Trouble Fillet Edges on round letters

Hello everyone,
so far I have managed to create a three-dimensional alphabet of letters. Next, I want to round the edges of the letters using the “fillet edge” function. I am having problems with some letters, such as the O. I have noticed that it only occurs with letters that are very rounded, such as O p q Q. My assumption is that it is due to the additional curve (edge 4 in the picture). Do any of you have a solution or perhaps an idea for a completely alternative solution without “fillet edge”?

Many thanks in advance.

the Q is a different problem (most likely the radius is too big to fit), but the Convex Edges component solves that internal edge issue:

What is the purpose of this experiment?

Thank you so much it worked. I’ve tried sooo much before…

It’s not really an experiment, I’m just not that creative with titles for my projects. I want to project the writing onto a solid and cut out the writing. The edges need to be curved so I can print better.

If it is for 3D printing and you’re using Rhino 8, you might also want to look at the new Isopod plugin. It has components which allow smooth boolean operations…
