Trim Command very slow in Rhino 8 MAC

I have noticed that on my fully equipped MacBook Pro, the Trim function in Rhino 8 is very slow compared to Rhino 7. Only two-dimensional lines are being trimmed. The project is kind of big but nothing crazy.

Hi Michael -

I am not seeing that here. Please share both the output of the Rhino SystemInfo command and a 3dm file that shows this behavior on your system.

Hello WiM,

Thank you for your prompt response. I’ve noticed that I encounter the same issue when opening the same file in Rhino 7. The “problem” is that, due to convenience, I select everything using Cmd+A and then manually select the parts to be trimmed. This means the computer has to process everything in the file to determine if it intersects with the part I click on, which I suppose is what takes so long. Perhaps there’s a more efficient way to code this function, as it is quite convenient not to have to be too precise about the selection in most cases.
