I downloaded and installed the Rhino 8 trial without any issues, and the software is running fine.
However, every time I launch it, I get a popup saying that my license has expired. Despite that, Rhino seems to be fully operational.
For now, I just need it to run some tests and learn a bit before deciding on the purchase.
Should I expect any problems because of this? Is there something I need to do to correct it?
Apart from the initial window everything seems to work fine and once I close that and try the manage licensing feature, it shows everything how it should be.
Thanks for screenshots, i deleted them due to you email being shown.
This is not expected behavior and i’ll will create a bug report. Your use shouldn’t be affected.
One thing i did to troubleshoot is remove your expired Rhino 7 trial which was standalone. If you need that back as a viewer just add it back in. Let us know if this removed the warning.
Hi Japhy, Thank you for your attention. I never really got to fully utilize the Rhino 7 trial; I lost some family members and ended up postponing this learning and experiment. Now that I’ve reconsidered my intention to learn the software, I thought it best to jump straight into Rhino 8 and learn from the most up-to-date version before making my decision. I really liked the team’s dynamic on the forums and the philosophy you all share here.
The warning keeps popping up until I close the window, but it doesn’t seem to impede any of the software’s functions. If I encounter any abnormal behavior or any behavior that hinders my learning, I’ll report it again.
Thank you for everything.
