Rhino evaluation expired before expiration date?

Hello all!

I’m helping one of my students with their Rhino 8 Evaluation. They have downloaded the latest version through their account. The license shows that it expires until August 18, 2026 but when logging in after running the program + entering the license key, it says it’s expired. Have you seen this before? Please help :slight_smile:

Its an automated system that will expire a new license if there was previous one taken. If that isn’t the case contact licensing and we can provide details of why.

If there’s an automated system why would it show a false expiration date??

Not sure I understood. I was helping remotely, so all I know is they signed up, went to download the eval, ran the program and entered it, and you saw the rest. I’ll direct them to this post.

That’s supposed to be the expiration date, until the system finds that they already downloaded a trial and says “Nah sorry.” You are only allowed one trial.

Ah, I see. That must be the case, or similar. I’ll just tell them to go use rhino at the school lab, maybe they tried the same email they use on-campus which only works there. Who knows!
