Transparency not working proeprly

Dear all
An object with even 1% of transparency dissapear in the rendered view (see atachment). In 32 bit version the object can be seen with transparency on other views like shaded etc, but on 64bit version the object with transparency cannot be seen at all.

Hello - are the display modes, Shaded etc set the the defaults? Can you post a screen shot of Options > View > OpenGL page?
