On my machine the default for the offset are set at 20 pixels obscuring the CP when moved with the Gumball, I have increased the values in the Properties, Adv tab.
the changed values are being remembered but have no affect on the tool tips offset.

Maybe it will be more easy for newish users to have these offset setting not only in the advance pref. but also in modeling aid > cursor tool tips, [same as the gumball numerical settings are under the check boxes in the Gumball tab]

You should now be able to set Tooltip offsets in Rhino 6 for Mac 6.19 or later.

A cosmetic thing: the numeric value box is a little too small if a large offset value is entered
please see the Y offset that has a -200 value and it gets clipped a little

Ah, I see. That should be an easy fix:

should be wider in the latest Release Candidate for 6.21.
