When I create a custom button (or copy a button and modify it) and I change the right mouse button tooltip, sometimes (days or weeks or months later) Rhino changes it to ‘Macro’ followed by a number.. This has been happening for many years. It’s very annoying. I think it only happens with the right-click tooltip though - I don’t recall it ever happening to the left tooltip.

Don’t do this. Never do this (in V7 or V8). This is something that I started experiencing in V7 and I finally figured out that copying buttons with LMB/RMB commands, then changing or eliminating the RMB part on the copy will cause the problem. Something is messed up with how this info is stored/retrieved in the macro library. There are a number of reports from me about this.
I think @CallumSykes will probably be able to fix it for V9, but right now I can only recommend making new buttons from scratch, not copying them.
Definitely. Copying should never cause problems in the soon to be released 9.x toolbars.
