Toolbar in NEW rui file

Today I dared to create an own toolbar again…

I created a new rui file in T:\Desktop:

I get ABC.rui.

Now I want to create a new container in ABC.rui (is this a library?).
Couldn’t find out how to make it.

What is the procedure to do that?

Hi Charles,
after making a fresh new rui, close the dialog and run Toolbar

Add a new toolbar by hitting the + sign
Currently you cannot make a new empty toolbar, so until that is fixed, add one icon from the default toolbar to it:

Then click next until you can finish the new toolbar:

From there you can add new icons the way you are used to.

Ok, that (kind of) works so far.

See some bugs in the video:

I now have a rui file (the “library”).
The library contains no information about buttons?
Strange…

Ok, then I export the container to a rhc file:

Exploring the rhc file reveals the button info, AND a reference to the (more or less empty) rui file.

Does it mean I need the TWO files to let me transport the toolbar to a fresh Rhino?
Let me test.

  1. _Reset

  2. Drag&Drop the rhc file on Rhino, this loaded the library, but no toolbar in it.

  3. Drag&Drop the rui file on Rhino - nothing happened.

  4. _Reset

  5. In Options I loaded the rui:

  6. _Toolbar - doesn’t show the toolbar in the library.

  7. _Containers, I load the rhc file - and wow, the toolbar is there.

  8. _Reset

  9. _Containers, I load the rhc file - and wow, the toolbar is there.

But the library is gone.

I don’t understand the system.
Do you?

What do I do wrong?

See here as well:

I don’t think you did anything wrong… What’s under the “lost” left-hand button that has a black image? Anything? Macro still there or not?

There do seem to be some posts about losing buttons, images etc.

All content is gone.

Yes, but no good answers or solutions.
