Tiny small bug in Block Attribute User Text / or improvment

If the user enters a “Value” in the property field to the right and then goes on to do something else, the value changes back to what was before. Either “tab” or “enter” is required for the value to change.

I think the value should change even when there’s no “tab” or “enter” pressed. I often need to retype the new value / text string, because it is lost.

Thanks
/Erik

Hi @erik6 can you run the SystemInfo command and copy / paste the results here so I know which specific build and version we’re talking about.
I was unable to repeat this issue in 8.36 so if you’re running that version I’ll need more specific steps to repeat the issue in order to be more helpful.

I’m quite sure it has nothing to do with the D5 plugin.

Thanks!

Unfortunately I cannot repeat this in 9.0 either.

Starting with you have the value cell in edit mode..

Specifically, how are you clicking away or changing focus that causes it not to stick?

value not sticking

Here is a small film showing that the value is not sticking.

Enter the value and the click in the Rhino viewport. Then go back to the block attributes. The value is gone.
