I am trying to validate the thermal model of a testroom from ISO52016 using the Thermal Analysis tool, but I’ve been having some problems:
After inserting all the data, geometry and simulations settings, the Thermal Analysis reports coherent results related to Solar Heat Gains, Infiltrations and all the climatic data (external air temperature, irradiation…), but it reports a phase shift in the values of Operative Temperature.
The model is very simple, since it’s just a room that doesn’t include thermostat control (FreeFloating) or any occupant activity, so it’s probably a problem related to the envelope thermal capacity, but all the properties have been correctly inserted into the software, multiple times.
Is there any suggestion of what kind of discrepancy am I facing?
Is there any other way I can check envelope thermal properties?
