The software works but very bad on my computer

Hi,

Rhino 4 is working just fine on my computer, but rhino 5 has a big problem.

When i want to draw a circle (or a square or anything else) in the top view, the right view start to display in perspective, the perspective view start a crazy blink, and the circle display in the front view instead of the top.
Whatever i try, the software go mad, except if i double click on one of the view and work just on that one.

I’m using a hp laptop “15-b152sf”, with windows 8.1, and the graphic card is “AMD Radeon HD 8550M Discrete-Class”. Did i have any chance to run rhino 5 on that computer ? Maybe it’s just a matter of some settings ?

Thanks if you could help

Have you tried updating/reinstalling the video drivers?

One thing that might help temporarily: In Options>View>OpenGL, uncheck "Use accelerated hardware modes (first item).

If this helps, then it’s definitely a graphics card/driver problem. Running with the box unchecked will make the display rather slow, as it turns off hardware acceleration, but it might help diagnose the problem and work as a temporary fix so you can work.

Nice help, it works perfectly without the “accelerated hardware modes”. I’ll try to fix the driver issues.

Thanks
