Texture dropping

Hi everyone, in rhino 7, i am struggiling about the texture. I was perfectly able to use textures in rhino 6 but when it comes to 7, textures are not displayed in rendered mod. I even try to copy some textured object from the 6 and coppy it to 7 but textures just dissappear. Can anybody help me about that?

Hello - please update both video drivers to the latest available from the NVidia and Intel websites and see of that sorts it out.

Hi again pascal, i install the nvdia lastest version but for intels it is the lastest i think and the problem didnt solved by the nvdia’s driver unfourtunately. Any other ideas?

Hello- can you please run SystemInfo again to make sure Rhino sees the newer driver? Are you using more then one display?

And i use only one display which is notebooks own display.

I noticed that i can add bitmap texture to the custom metarial and it is visible on the render view but i still cant see the other texture that i try to apply from texture tabs itself.

Hello - can you give me the exact workflow (for 5-year-olds) that you are using to test? I want to do the same thing here.

Hello -if you can, outline the exact steps you are taking to get to a state where texture does not appear… I was not sure what you meant by

It is simply that, when i apply the texture from the texture tab in rhino 7 it is not visible. But(i noticed it few minutes ago) When i add texture from the metarials tab it become visible. Btw when i open a model with rhino 7 which is made on rhino 6 the textures are visible in rh6 files. But when i try to add a texture to a new object in that file, it is not visible again.
First pic tried to highlight the texture tab and metarial tab in second one.


Can you please post or send me a simple example file that is displaying incorrectly for you?

I tried to show that with a screen record. At first trial the textures are not visible as you can see but at second trials they become visible

OK, so drag and drop of a texture (not a material) directly onto an object no longer creates a new material using that texture in the color channel, in V7, as it does in V6 - that is correct.
