Using the latest WIP V8 on a 2023 apple silicon Macbook Pro 14 with 32gigs ram.
Trying to edit a text object. I type my new letters in the property panel. (which is floating because I can’t seem to get it to dock so that I can see both layers and properties at the same time.) Then click back into the view and now both the old text and the new text show up. I can weirdly drag one of them away, but then it just reverts the text box back to the previous text.

Hi Carter -
Thanks. I’m able to reproduce that behavior here with a floating Properties panel.
→ RH-75366 Text is not editable from floating Properties panel
It looks like you can double-click the text in the viewport to pop up the Edit Text dialog, in which you can successfully edit the text.
When you drag the top of the floating container in which the Properties panel resides - i.e. NOT drag the tab that reads “Properties” but from the space to the right of that tab - and move that over the docked container that holds the Layers panel, 4 smallish blue rectangles will appear over that docked container. When you then move the hand cursor over the top or bottom of those, a bigger blue field will appear. Releasing the mouse in that position should dock the Properties panel in a container above or below the one with the Layers panel.

Ah. Thanks. I thought those little blue rectangles were some sort of graphic glitch. I was looking for the big blue overlay once I got near where I wanted it to go.
