My Text Object keeps pasting a previous entry. When opening for new text, I can highlight the previous text and delete, enter new text but when placing the result, it is the text I deleted… not the most recently entered text. (?)
Hello-
Please run the SystemInfo command in Rhino and copy/paste the results here.

Hm - that looks OK to me. Does this happen in any file, even a brand new one?
-Pascal
Yes. Persists within a new document.
It’s odd that you have 2 identical GPUs.
How are they connected?
Are they connected?
Been using the same GPU config for years. Both are powered via an external power supply.
This is what I was wondering about:

Thanks! Its been a while since I set up the hardware. If remembered correctly, I was following someones notes posted here. The CPU knows they are both present. Perhaps only utilizing one of them all these years! Don’t know.
I’ve had this happen randomly and I have posted about it here IIRC…
It sounds like one of those bizarre things that is sorted with a computer restart.
Thanks for suggesting a reboot But, it is still there! Text I entered yesterday. And earlier today I installed the latest version. The text must be stored somewhere.
Needing to place notes for myself throughout my modeling process. Is there another way to place text in the workspace??
The Notes command should help, also just Text rather than TextObject is probably more helpful. But still, the TextObject problem needs to be fixed…

Text command takes care of my need. Thanks
Now the same is happening when using the Text command. Previously entered text is the result that is placed instead of the newly entered text.
@mristau - can you possibly get a screen capture of this process?
-Pascal
Now both Text and Text Object are working as expected. Working in the same document, no relaunch and no reboot. Will document if prob returns.
Yes, however, if it is more than just a one-off, then there is a problem somewhere…
I think it’s obvious there is a real problem somewhere, but being able to reliably repeat it is the key to finding and fixing it.
I too suffer with this problem randomly.I can delete text from a box 50 times or more but it keeps reappearing…then suddenly it will work and I can input new text.Oddly the text that keeps appearing can be something i wrote months previously. Most frustrating!
