I was just having this issue in a viewport. Originally the text had a print-override that was set to white. I fixed that, and the text started showing up in model space, but was still missing in the layout.
Hi Matthew - can you post a simple file that shows this problem?
-Pascal
Hi Pascal,
I could…but it isn’t actually a problem.
I was simply noting that this option may also cause text to “disappear” in the layout space if enabled.
Cheers,
Matt
Hi guyes.
There is some bug about this in Rhino.
Suddenly my texts in all my files has not been seen. When I select them by seltext command, I have found them. But they have not been seen and when I have tried to move with them sometimes they have blicked on me for second and then get lost again.
I have fixed this by this way:
-options- View- displaymodes- shaded- other settings- pipeline- OpenGL to windows and back.
After that, my texts came back again.

This actually solved my issue of not showing the text. One other workaround is to give all texts/annotations etc a solid background color. Its quite frustrating, as windows mode is much much slower than OpenGL.
Why this just happened to my file, im not sure.
Hi Filip -
Please post the output from the Rhino SystemInfo command.
-wim
I have this issue. The text that was placed in the layout view are shown, but the text that was written in the model (in the detail view) are not shown.
I tried options > views > display modes > shaded > other settings > display pipeline assingment, and there is only an option to use OpenGL (there’s no Windows option there).
Hi Nadiya -
