Subd Objects missing properties

Hi All,
When I try to apply thicken to a subD the option is not there, If you try to add it from the render tools toolbar, it asks for a Page to display.
The same happened to shutting line and probably soft edge and displacement, you may be aware of this but considering it works in V7 I had to let you know.
