SubD thicken face

HI guys,
I remember when I used to do Subds in Modo they had a useful function called Thicken. I see on Rhino there s the Offset but it s not the same thing as it Offsets the whole object or maybe I m missing something.
Let s say I select a ring of faces and want to add thickness. How would I go about in Rhino ?

Also you can use the thickness modifier/property (as with NURBS) on SubDs too, if you want to play around with thicknesses before committing to the offset.
