I have a customer’s STP file which doesn’t open in Rhino 5-8.
It loads an an older eDrawings.

@Charles Sorry, I just noticed this. The STEP file contains nothing but mesh objects, and Rhino does not support them at this time.
It is interesting that the file viewer provided by Steptools does not show anything when opening this file. It could be that the meshes are not represented in a standard way.
