Still showing removed geometry after WireCut

Hi!

I’m following this tutorial: http://tips.rhino3d.com/2014/10/modeling-complex-transitions.html

Around 2:30 he’s using WireCut using a closed curve. When I try the same thing, nothing happens. So my first question is why can’t I use Wirecut with the closed curve as in the video?

Then I tried a work around by not using a closed curve but instead cutting the sides one by one.

The first cut is fine, regardless of what curve I cut with first. But when I cut using the second line, I get some strange result.
It looks like the cut is made in the orthographic views, but in perspective the part I wanted to remove with wirecut is still there. My second question is why this happens? Is this a graphics bug maybe?

Here’s the file I’m working on. I’m using Version 5 SR12 64-bit (5.12.50810.13095, 10/08/2015)

Hi Gustav - if possible, give yourself a few thousandths at the edge where the cutter hits the circle:

-Pascal

That works. When I move the lines outwards I get a single geometry as a result, and when i move them inwards, the revolved geometry is cut in two.

In the video, he’s not moving the lines at all and get the same result as I do when I move the lines inwards. Why is this? Moving the lines solves my problem, but I don’t understand why I have to do that for the WireCut to work.
