Splitting 2 objects

Greetings

Can someone remind me what else I should consider when an object will not split even though the intersection between the two objects creates a closed curve? The green part will not split the white one and the intersecting curve will not split it either.

You may have to look at it suface-by-surface to see where the issue is.

Explode or Extract the surfaces being split from the polysurface
